Wedding bells ringing!
Gee.. It marked an enjoyable yet memorable event at Marriott Hotel on the 22/11, as it was our eldest cousin - Yu Fen jiejie's marriage solemnization. Gonna reflect on this special event cum "get-together" and upload the pictures taken that evening and haring it with my cousins and friends!! *Grin* :-)
Have been looking forward to this occasion since months ago. Whilst it might seem tiring for others to hurriedly head to some places immediately after work; it was certainly not for all of us, as we were able to share the joy and witness the grant marriage solemnization of our most elegant cousin's. Till now, the expression of happiness and sincere blessings to the newly-weds, the ambience at the 5th level Pool Terrace Pavilion where the solemnization ceremony was held, the soothing music, sumptuous buffet set and desserts, the topics conversed, as well as the sweet memories of pictures taken are still flashing consistently in my mind! =)
A few of our cousins and our aunt, including the "main lead" have already reached the pool side when sis and I arrived the posh hotel - Ah Hui jiejie, Ah En Jiejie, Zhi Liang, Guang Chao gege and our cousin-in-law - Qi Yan Jiejie, with their toddlers, Jun Cong & Shu Ying. A miss as my dad and a cousin of ours were not able to attend the ceremony. Oh ya, my mom took my uncle's Merz "7777." Everyone looked gorgeous and I still remember Zhi Liang's outfit (my cousin who is five years younger than me) - school boy's attire but looking relatively smart with his tie. Haha.. Ok, wanted to "throw" the MC's speech to us, but we were not deceived by him. *Lol* Next, the older sister of him - Ah Hui jiejie, we addressed her as "Ang Pow" (which she also agreed), 'cos her evening gown was so bright red. (We were saying their house can save up on the CNY decorations if she will to wear it during the festive occasion next year). *Lol*
Meanwhile, the bridegroom's close relatives and ours shortly arrived. Of course, everyone was waiting excitedly for the most important moment - the exchange of vows and wedding rings. The scene where the main leads answered "Yes, I Do" and thereby being pronounced "Man & Wife" has been really touching. All of us cousins ganged up to applause and cheer loudly. Haha.. This cousin/eldest daughter/eldest granddaughter of ours finally got married at the age of 34, after the eight-year long relationship. I have always admired Yu Fen jiejie - her good-natured personality, excellence in studies (she graduated from NUS 11 yrs back) and filial piety etc serve as a good role model to all of us. ^_^
We sat randomly and chatted as we ate. Entertained by the funny expressions of Jun Cong while he ate his food, and meimei - Shu Ying giving a "Kor kor, I also want to eat" reaction. *Lol* (v adorable toddlers whom always give people the feeling to hug them more!) Oh yes, my cousins and I also grabbed a lovely pair of wedding bells and chopsticks as souvenirs from Marriott. =D.
Lastly, sincerely wish the newly-weds a happy marriage. Looking forward to our next gathering and shopping together soon!
