Gee.. After that, it was time for sandwich competition. Only Yu Fen jiejie and us have prepared our ingredients. Jiejie realized that she has forgotten to bring the margarine along, which we required for making sandwiches. In fact before that, I have actually fried some fish fillets and hams as our ingredients at home. Very "guai1" hor? Haha.. but jiejie seems to be more interested with Yu Fen jiejie's tuna and margarine, and had a hard time pleasing the latter in order to "steal" her ingredients. Keke.. Initially, Yu Fen jiejie replied "no" jokingly, but her mind was melted with our consistent pleasing and persistence. Haha! Not bad lah, the food was rather nice.. Since there were only two groups, our eldest cousin became the ultimate winner! *Wink* ;)
What's next? Yes, we got ready for our food for the BBQ! My Abang was actually the food master of this highlight - the main in-charge of the marinating/ barbecuing of chicken wings, sambal fish and sting rays, crabs, satays, hotdogs, prawns, otahs, mushrooms etc. (Yup, mushrooms NOT marshmallows.. can imagine?) *Lol* The taste was excellent! Me? I did not eat much, 'cos I was too engrossed serving food to Jun Cong & Shu Ying. In fact, most of my time was spent time playing with the toddlers, and have neglected others. Haha! Qi Yan's jiejie's sister and her family came. Qi Yan jiejie's niece, who is around eight years old fell down while running. Seeing the little girl crying as her knees was bleeding, I gave the plaster in my wallet and comforted her.. Really felt sorry and heartpain for the child, even though it has been a minor cut. On the contrary, I was relieved that Jun Cong and Shu Ying were unhurt..
Ok, I think Ah En jiejie & her boyfriend, Wei Yang reached shortly after together with uncle, aunt and our grandmother. YuanTing and her family arrived subsequently too.. I was not aware and did not manage to take much pictures 'cos I was with the kids upstairs. However, jiejie was the photographer of the event. She has taken many pictures and forwarded that to us.. Nevertheless, I still had an enjoyable time chatting with my cousins at the BBQ pit. The five- year-old Jun Cong was so obedient as he sat beside the drinking, offering fruit pouch to us. How adorable!! I have also purchased the Winnie Pooh mug set for him, apart from the gift I have bought for his little sister.. :D
My relatives sang birthday song to me, Guang Chao gege and Shu Ying. Ah Hui jeijie has bought a "Hello Kitty" cake specially for Shu Ying from Polar, whilst jiejie bought an enormous $45; 2.4kg chocolate banana cake from Secret Recipe for me. Having come this far, it is the very 1st time I had such a grand birthday celebration, surrounded by so many people. Having being one of the main leads, the event was an extremely one for me. In spite of the slight disappointment and heartpain as the small side of my cake has been ruined, 'cos of my fault of placing the box of fillets above it, I was, nevertheless, very contented for the entire event.
Guang Chao gege and his family left as he was unwell, followed by Ah En jiejie's family. I could see the sad expression on Jun Cong's expression. He looked as if he wanted to cry, 'cos he was much unwilling to leave. Before that, he was rejected by Guang Chao gege for another piece of cake, 'cos his dad was afraid that he might start throwing up if he is overly-full. I thought he would be staying for the night and have wanted to reserve a piece for him for the next day. Poor Zane.. but luckily, he felt asleep soon after Qi Yan jiejie carried him.. Actually, I have not played enough with the both of them.. Too addicted le!! *Lol*
Hee.. I studied a bit and the younger generations watched hours of movies and DVDs till 2.30am. Sleeping at the chalet was a good experience; but obviously, not a nice feeling for me, 'cos we had to share pillows, as our parents occupied the rooms upstairs. I must say, I was awoke for the whole night, as my neck got uncomfortable. Eventually, I was the 1st to woke up the next morning (Guang Chao gege's birthday) at 6.40am. We had instant noodles, bread with curry, my remaining cake and tidbits for breakfast and departed at 10.15am..
Although the schedules have not been carried out accordingly to the discussion we had over at Guang Chao gege's place on the 15th evening, it was still a tremendous enjoyable event for all of us! Yeah, we are going to have an annual chalet from next year onwards! ^_^
