Dear friends,
Hope you are still satisfied with my previous two posts on the trip. ^_^
Will focus on the other stuff on today's post, which I am equally happy about. :)
Came across a tax return of my company's subsidiaries, and the cover letter that was signed off by our Group Vice President who is in-charge of Group Tax, Ms Goh. Yes, she is my superior in my new company, and I will be reporting to her. ^_^
Actually my official 1st day of work is 9 July, 'cos I have requested to join on that date. I was thrilled when they called me to join them for their departmental lunch at Crystal Jade Palace at Ngee Ann City last Thu afternoon. Was occupied at work on that Wed and didn't expect the call. Thinking of meeting my new colleagues the other day, I was excited yet nervous that night.
Anyway, I reached on time and had a fabulous time with my potential colleagues. There were eight of us - four gals and guys (includ me) In fact, one of my male colleagues has worked at IRAS before and known two colleagues of mine. Ms Goh was sitting beside me, and when the 1st dish came, she wanted me to start the ball rolling.. Very happy yet paiseh.. My family, cousin, lecturers and friends feel that it is a great start to a wonderful working experience. I must say - they are very sincere and I really like them very much! I am elated to be part of the big family! Realised my friend is doing Accounts in one of its subsidiaries there.. Found a good friend working with me! (but I'll be handling Group Tax at the parent company). *Wink* =p
Have enrolled for the CPA course last Sat.. This is something I have been looking forward to for quite sometime!
