Hee.. Shall continue from my 1st post..
Next, we proceed towards the filming site of ‘City of Sadness” - Chiufen to see the traditional way of life that still exists with the aura of an old mining town that still reminiscent today. As lunch was not provided that day, it was the best opportunity for us to try some famous local dish there. There was actually a long queue at the eating house. However, it was not long before we have got seats! We tasted "drunken chicken", (it costs about TW 120, equivalent to S$5.60) per plate, dried noodles and "ru3 rou4 fan4" with vege that "Xiao Yang" has recommended. I heard the fishball soup was nice too, but we didn't order that lah. Haha! Anyway, Jingmei and her husband sat with us. *Nice!* :-)
Three pictures taken at Chiufen as follows:

Following that, we visited Nantien Temple. It is not only the landmark of Nafanau, but also the center for the traditional religion of the local citizen. As our camera has ran out of batt, we did not manage to take any pictures this afternoon.. *Paiseh.*. Keke..
Had a sumptous buffet dinner at Hualien Parkview Hotel in the evening. All of us have really enjoyed the food! So many varieties.. There were also desserts - cakes & ice-creams! We ate till 8plus before we head to our five-star hotel! =P
On the next day on 28 May (Monday), sis and I took pictures of the scenery outside the hotel when we had our breakfast, at the children's playground at the lobby when we were about to check out from the hotel. ;)

We went to Taroko, after departing from the hotel. The gorge was formed by rushing river waters which have cut straight through the marble and granite to create a beautiful, narrow ravine with waterfalls and patches of misty mountains, surrounded by subtropical forests. There are several notable scenic spots in and near the gorge. *Taroko Memorial Arch Building: It's designed in Chinese style. *Changchun Temple: It's situated on the valley, with the spectacle.
As pictures speak more than a thousand words, please take a look at them as shown, ya? ^_^
My friends from the tour actually climbed up so as to view the temple. However, Meng Ting's mom was so worried about her, when she insisted going up and didn't come down.. Sis and I comforted her.. Could understand auntie's feelings at that time.. Anyway, my peers came down safe and sound after that. Sis and I did not do so, 'cos we know that is too dangerous. Hence, those parents were telling my mom how obedient both of us are. Whahahahaha...
"Xiao Yang" actually told us to go experience the spring water. Really very cooling and refreshing!!
Memorable photos taken - Peisi, sis, me & Jialun.. and Jingmei & her husband, sis & me!
Luckily, we didn't go for the rustic yet refined hot spring cultural at night, 'cos I heard from my friend that it was rather smelly. Haha!
